Cobb Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) manages and coordinates the Cobb Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program. To become a part of CERT, individuals must complete the basic training requirements. Once initial training is completed, members can participate on Working Groups and in their assigned District Teams, as well as participate in ongoing training, exercises, and actual events.

CEMA strives to provide our private citizens who complete the CERT training course with the basic skills that they will need to respond to our community’s immediate needs in the aftermath of a disaster, when emergency services are not immediately available. By working together, CERT members can assist in saving lives and protecting property using basic techniques.

You can view the Potential CERT Tasks list to understand more about the support that CERT members can provide.
